Fate Points
Think of your character's destiny being prewritten before they even come into existence. With Fate Points, you will be the one to decide what your character has the aptitude for or doesn't. Perhaps they shine more than others, they are more physically gifted, or they have the guts to consume a Devil Fruit. What you spend your limited amount of Fate Points on determines this all.

Each character starts with 6 Fate Points upon registration, very rarely can someone change their Fate and gain more. To do so you'd have to partake in actions that truly shake up the world and the destiny of those within it. This foreshadowing aside, below is how Fate Points work and what they can be used to purchase.

To begin, your character is a human, they have no aptitude for any style of Haki, and for some reason beyond what anyone can manage to grasp, they'll never have the hunger for a Devil Fruit, nor the guts to wield anything dubbed "Cursed". These are only a few of the things that spending these Fate Points can clear up. However, they are not easy to come by so spend them wisely.

Character Creation Template

This is the character creation template. Character creation is a rather open process and you can choose to either do the bare minimum and get out into the RP world or flesh out your character as much as possible. While things are optional, the more quality an application the more EP you will receive to start out with. Meaning more quality characters will start off at higher tiers and stronger.

Code:
[b]Name:[/b] (Character's Full Name, Middle not necessary.)
[b]Alias/Epithet:[/b] (A title or nickname your character goes by. ex; Fire Fist Ace.)
[b]Race:[/b] ([url=http://op-piratenation.forumotion.com/t1673-race-system]Available Races Found Here[/url])
[b]Gender:[/b] (Male, Female, Cyborg)
[b]Age:[/b] (Character Age)
[b]Mode:[/b] (Easy or Hard)

[spoiler="Description of Modes"]
[b]Easy Mode:[/b] Easy Mode is for people who have no major interest in their characters dying. You have access to private topics, maims turn into severe bruising that inhibit the use of the damaged body part for the rest of the thread, what would normally cause deaths turn into your character simply being knocked out. However, everything isn't good for you, this also means that your character will never be able to pass Tier 3.
[list]
[*][b]Exceptions to these Rules:[/b] Should you attack someone on Hard Mode with killing, crippling, injuring, or maiming intent OOC or IC, you lose your Easy Mode protection and may have the same done to you. May it be killed, maimed, injured, etc as long it is the same intention.

[*]You cannot make private travel threads, but they can still be No Kill due to your Easy Mode Protection.

[*]Also, there are also events which your character will be at risk if you choose to enter them.

[*]Lastly your character can be vulnerable to death if you will it.
[/list]

[b]Hard Mode:[/b] This is for people willing to take more of a risk for more of a reward. In this mode you can reach up to T6, and there are other things available to you, like world positions. However, your character is [u]always[/u] death enabled. A hard mode person is not allowed to make a "No Kill" thread or a Private thread. Their whole existence is open. Hard Mode is to promote a more realistic One Piece Roleplay-verse and while people are eligible to die while on Hard Mode, our aim here is not to make this a place where people meaninglessly kill. Hard Mode is introduced to promote interactive RP where people value there allies and teammates. Hard Mode is for an experience closer to Canon.
[list]
[*][b]Exceptions to these Rules:[/b] If you are situated on your island or your ship while out in the sea(not docked on an island), you are permitted to make a private thread between you and crew members. HOWEVER, you cannot make a private travel thread on your ship, you are still at risk of invasion in those threads.

[*]Protection for Private Topics on your Ship can last for a duration of 7 IC Post, afterwards the topic is Open.
[/list]

[b]Changing Modes:[/b] Changing modes is also possible if you start out a character, and realize the mode you chose does not really suit you. Unfortunately, to prevent people making the first choice without thought, or using easy mode to their advantage getting as high as they can with Easy Mode, and jumping to Hard Mode, there are penalties to both sides changing modes.
[list]
[*][b]Easy Mode Penalties:[/b] If you're on Easy Mode, and you change to hard mode, you are bumped down an entire tier, and will have to build your way back up. Anything spent on something you cannot have anymore because of tier problems, (You were T3 with a T3 only sword, and you've been knocked down to T2), will be refunded if you wish.
[*][b]Hard Mode Penalties:[/b] If you choose to jump to Easy Mode, you get everything taken from you that is Hard Mode only.
[/list]

You may only change your Mode once and it does not effect preexisting topics you are in.
[/spoiler]

[b]Occupation:[/b] ([url=http://op-piratenation.forumotion.com/t1675-occupation-system]Available Occupations Found Here[/url])
[b]Affiliation:[/b] (Pirate, Marine, Revolutionary, Free Agent/Undeclared)
[b]World Position:[/b] (You may only apply for World Positions that require you to be Tier 3.)

[b]General Appearance:[/b] (A run down of your character's appearance. Clothes, body build, etc. Pictures still require at least a paragraph)
[b]Height:[/b] (Character Height)
[b]Weight:[/b] (Character Weight)
[b]Crew Tattoo Placement:[/b] (Usually for Pirates, but if you got a Crew Tattoo where would it be?)

[b]Personality:[/b] (Minimum of five traits that describe your character. You can elaborate if you wish, but it is not required.)
[b]Likes:[/b] (What does your character like, minimum 3.)
[b]Dislikes:[/b] (What does your character dislike, minimum 3.)

[b]History:[/b] (Optional.)
[b]Face Claim:[/b] (Series|Character Name)
[b]RP Sample:[/b] (Should you be applying for a World Position.)

[b]Bonus:[/b] (Start with extra Beli, Bounty, or a Log Pose. If you apply for a World Position your Bounty/Reputation will automatically be at that World Position's bare minimum.)
[b]Location:[/b] (If you wish to start on the Grandline, what Island are you on? Cannot be Sabaody or Fishman Island.)

[b]Fate Point Allocation:[/b] (What are you spending your starting Fate Points on?)
